Panama’s tourist industry continues to grow, and it is estimated that 1.7 million tourists will have visited the country at the close of 2010.
To accommodate all of these visitors, at present there are approximately 10,500 hotel rooms available in the province of Panama. Most recently, new upscale hotels were inaugurated featuring all the comforts sought by visitors seeking luxurious accommodations with the finest furnishings and amenities, including saunas, gyms, swimming pools, personal service, trendy bars and fine restaurants, all in elegant environments.
One of the most famous names in the hotel industry is New York City’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and the Hilton brand will bring the first Waldorf Astoria hotel in Latin America to Panama City along with another four Hilton Worldwide brands hotels. These will include the Hilton Garden Inn, the Doubletree, the Panama Hilton and an Embassy Suites.
Business and investment opportunities continue to grow in Panama, and the country offers many incentives and exemptions that are attracting renowned companies from around the world making it easier for them to take advantage of the fastest growing commercial center in the region.
