TOURISM GROWS AND MORE AIRLINES ARE LANDING AT PANAMA’S TOCUMEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
August, 27 2010
As Panama’s tourism and commercial activities increase, so do the arrivals at Tocumen International Airport. In the coming months, around four new airlines will be landing there.
Condor Airlines, based in Germany, will begin arriving in Panama in November with a weekly flight, and in January will increase its frequencies to three flights weekly. Also from Germany, Lufthansa is interested in scheduling weekly flights to Panama. Another European airline, Iberia from Spain, will begin direct flights to Panama in October.
Australia’s Qantas Airlines is due to arrive in January of next year after a four-day stopover in Havana, Cuba, and will bring its passengers to Panama for another four days and return to Australia thereafter.
As tourism grows in Panama, top hotel chains are establishing their presence and providing an increase in accommodations. All offer luxurious lifestyles and quality services designed to meet the needs of their guests. Construction of three more name-brand hotels will soon begin.
