Panama achieves Investment Grade Ratings from the Top Three Ratings Agencies

On March 23, 2010, Fitch Ratings agency awarded Panama with their BBB- Investment Grade Rating. Two months later, on May 25, Standard & Poor’s Ratings (S&P) did likewise, also granting Panama their BBB- Investment Grade Rating. And most recently, on June 9, Moody’s Investors Service gave Panama the Baa3 rating which is their equivalent of the Investment Grade Rating.
Panama is now one of the five Latin American countries that have earned the Investment Grade Rating. The other countries are Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Peru
