US Ambassador Announces that she is leaving Panama

The US Ambassador to Panama, Barbara J. Stephenson, has announced that she is leaving her mission in Panama effective in three months. She has been selected to serve the US Embassy in the United Kingdom, the second highest post possible for a Department of State civil servant. The Ambassador will be replaced in the interim by David Gilmour.
