President Ricardo Martinelli Inaugurates Panama Pacifico

President Ricardo Martinelli inaugurated buildings within the Special Economic Zone created by Law 41 within the Panama Pacifico development. During the inauguration, the President highlighted the benefit of Law 41 both to incoming multi-national corporations and Panamanian workers.
Panama Pacifico is a $700 million dollar master planned development incorporating residential, flexible space, office space, a championship golf course and a town center in an area once used as an air force base by the US during their administration of the canal. The development embodies Panama’s entry into the globalized arena as it will be one of the most comprehensive logistics hubs and business parks in the Americas as well as Latin America’s first Green City. The development is slated to be ongoing for the next 40 years.
