The Wall Street Journal Reports that Copa Holdings Increased Profits

The Wall Street Journal reported on February 10 that Panama's Copa Holdings (CPA) has posted a profit of US$70.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2009, which represents an increase of 172% over numbers for the same quarter a year ago. This earnings report, when coupled with the airlines’ planned US$600 million investment into fleet upgrades, shows the strength of Copa Airlines and is another driving factor for the Panamanian economy. Copa Airlines has a codeshare agreement with Continental Airlines benefiting passengers on both airlines for flights throughout the US and Central America.
