BRAZIL’S ECONOMY HELPS PANAMA

September, 07 2011

Even though Brazil’s economy will grow less than Panama’s in 2011 (3.93%), Panamanian businessmen and bankers are looking to strengthen relationships with this important market.
Brazil’s outlook is favorable for Panama’s finance, tourism, business and stock market, according to specialists in these areas.
Brazil is one of the greatest economies in the world, and any action taken by that country reflects on the world’s economy, commented Raúl Moreira, the president of Panama’s College of Economists.
According the Raúl Moreira, diversifying Panama’s trade relationships allowed the country to cope with the recent crisis, and even with the serious situation that occurred in the United States, Panama has bonds with other countries that can help it to deal with any problem that could affect the US.
